SAFETY ENGINEERS TASKS STAKEHOLDER ON OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY &HEALTH PRACTICE

The Members of the American Soceity of  Safety Engineers(NIGERIA CHAPTER)with collaboration with Lagos State Safety Commission have urged all stakeholders to be more conscious of Safety measure within their environment.
The professional body made this appeal to both government and private individuals at the Professional Development Conference,Technical Session,Exhibition and networking organised by ASSE NIGERIA CHAPTER in collaboration with the theme:SUSTAINABLE EFFORT AT REPOSITIONING OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY &HEALTH PRACTICE IN NIGERIA.
Speaking with our correspondent in Lagos,The  Safety Health and Environment(SH&E)Expert STEPHEN UDEZI,Who is the president of the AMERICA SOCIETY OF SAFETY ENGINEERS(ASSE)emphasized that we have a lot of safety challenges in our beloved country Nigeria which includes homes,school,companies,organisation and government that is the reason this year's PDC theme was carefully chosen"let's listen,digest and put to good use of every lecture at this PDC,so that we can go home and achieve the collective good that we desire in ensuring that Nigeria become a reference point for best practices in occupational and health practices.
According to the president a professional safety persons we must all be good ambassadors where ever we find ourselves by "Walking the Talk"leading by good examples and not just getting learned to be unlearned.
Also Speaking at the conference,In his goodwill message,Director/CEO Lagos State Safety Commission,Hon Hakeem Olaogun Dickson said the commission  in is effort to promote and maintain an effective networking and collaboration with relevant stakeholders like (ASSE) in reducing workplace accidents,illnesses,injuries,diseases and fatalities have joined the VISION ZERO CAMPAIGN.
