Affordable housing has for a long time been a point of discourse in the built environmne t due to the rising housing deficit in the country.
The topic was revisted at the 5th Annual Distinguished lecture of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors, Lagos state chapter held in Lagos on Tuesday.
The theme of the gathering was, 'Affordable housing in Nigeria : Myth or reality?' and experts in the built environment agreed that certain policies should be put in place to make the concept a reality.
According to people, who was represented by the Federal Controller of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Lagos State. Mr Temitope Onayekan, lack of access to decent and affordable housing is not only the worst form of property.
