NIOB STRESSES NEED FOR FACILITY MANAGEMENT AWARENESS

Stakeholders in the built environment have been urged to create more awareness for facility management to thrive in the country. The call was contained in a communiqué issued at the end of the 2013 builder’s conference and annual general meeting of the Nigeria institute of building, Lagos chapter, with the theme, ‘Effects of facilities management on the building construction industry’.

The chairman, council of registered builders of Nigeria, prof. kabiru bala, was quoted as saying that stakeholders must create an avenue for mentoring of young and emerging facility managers who would take the front row in the quest for value and standards.
