LAFARGE, FRENCH AGENCY, MFB SIGN N1bn HOUSING AGREEMENT
As part of
effort to provide affordable housing to low income earners in the country,
Lafarge Nigeria and the French Development Agency (Agence Francaise de
development) have signed a N1bn agreement to provide accommodation for about
3,500 families.
The AFD
said the N1bn credit line would be given to lapo microfinance bank limited to
support the affordable housing programme, which will be jointly executed with
Lafarge Nigeria.
The AFD
country Director, Mr. Hubert Dognin, disclosed this during the signing
agreement between the French agency, Lafarge Nigeria and Lapo MFB for the pilot phase of the project tagged: Ile Irorun in
Sagamu.
